Projects

The Lebanon Valley Conservancy leads and partners on projects in the Lebanon Valley to help protect our land, improve air and water quality, and preserve the history and culture of our region.

The Community Conservation Committee works on a variety of projects each year, including: spring and fall tree plantings, urban meadow transitions, community forums, outdoor recreation initiatives (Tour de Lebanon Valley & Tower to Town 10 Mile Trail Run), as well as green space parks like the John E. Wengert Memorial Park and Liberty Trail Park downtown.

The Land and Resource Committee offers land owners educational materials and counseling in regards to land preservation through easements and conducting the easement process. The committee also provides educational neighborhood events to offer valuable information to residents on land preservation and its impact on sustaining natural, agricultural, and aesthetic features of our community.

The Historic Resources Committee is largely focused on the development of the Lebanon County Heritage Trail with maps of Cornwall, Annville, Jonestown, Mt. Gretna, Downtown Lebanon, Schaefferstown and Palmyra.

The Fundraising and Outreach Committee works on events in the community, Lecture Series, Giving Days, restaurant fundraisers and outdoor recreation events.
